Primitive Country Crafts

Hello, today I will share lovely information and ideas of creative art called “Primitive Country Crafts“.

Maybe you don’t like them because of their dark and old color, maybe their dark tones of objects frighten you, let me tell you that this is an old technique and widely used in the United States as well as in Canada.

Are you ready to create your one?

Primitive country décor is style is characterized with the use of folk art items that stress a rough and simple look, darker earthly colours, and natural fabrics. It makes use of worn items, which look as if they have been passed down from generation to generation.
Primitive design focuses on furniture made between the mid-18th century and the early 19th century by farmers.
A country farmhouse is similar to a traditional farmhouse except it tends to be smaller than most other farmhouses. Country farmhouses often come with porches and wrap-around verandas too. The country chic décor used many different colours when decorating such as yellow, green, blue, brown, and even black.
Collections of Primitive folk art are often referred to as primitives. Primitive folk art takes many forms including dolls, ornaments, crafts, paintings, textiles, and functional items such as shelves and furniture. The primitive folk art style is characteristic of a historic or early Americana time period.

Crafts were essential in the early days of America, more for the useful products they produced than for their enjoyment. Then, as now, a well-wrought item brought a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment. Most crafts practiced in early America are as familiar now as they were then crafts such as spinning, weaving, knitting, and sewing.
