Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is a celebration honoring the mother of the family or individual, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. It is celebrated on different days in many parts of the world, most commonly in the months of March or May.

Mother’s Day in Argentina is celebrated on the third Sunday of October.

It is in the year 1965 when Mother’s Day is moved to the first Sunday of May, as we know it today.
This Sunday, May 2, we celebrate Mother’s Day in our country, a date marked on the calendar to pay tribute to the mother figure. In Latin American countries, the date also varies, let’s see some of these countries: In Mexico, El Salvador and Guatemala it is celebrated on May 10. In Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Chile, Ecuador, Honduras, and Puerto Rico it is celebrated on the second Sunday of the month of May. In Bolivia it is celebrated on May 27.
